You can't win vs the macroers. There's too many, it's too easy, and there's no way to be 100% sure. Blame the game design as much as the macroers for it to be even possible to play the game without even being there. There needs to be serious changes to the gameplay to completely get rid of all the macroers.

I really hope that incursion introduces BS/BC/cruiser/warp scramming rats to hisec, so that way macro bots will most likely get wtfpwned by the sansha incursion.
Then all the miner macroers will simply move onto courier mission macros. You'll start seeing 20x the number of afk magnates running around, and 20x the bestowers in Ingunn. Some macroers lose 3 industrials in 15 mins in Ingunn and it hasn't stopped them any.

The argument of whether CCP is banning or not banning these macroers is a moot point. Even if CCP is banning these players regularly, I'm sure we can all agree it's not working or doing any good. There are more and more macroers everyday. Once again, CCP simply needs to find a way to design the game so that it isn't viable to use macros. There are plenty of MMOs out there where that is the case.

Quote: You know THE ONE AND ONLY WAY CCP could be almost certain they eliminated most macro/bot users ? If they completely obliterate the entire game economy, making EVERYTHING sold by NPCs only, removed all direct ISK income sources and made it so that the only way to GENERATE ISK is to buy it from them directly. Basically, if the entire game was shifted from a subscription to a microtransaction model. And even then, SOME macro/bot users would STILL exist.
Absolutely untrue. I suggest you take a look at the many other mmos out there now and in the past that has no where near the problems with macroers in a player-based market. I've played quite a few and none of them even comes close to the epidemic of macroer problems as there is in this game. Star Wars Galaxies had it's share but still doesn't come close. The ONE AND ONLY WAY CCP could be almost certain they eliminate most macro/bot users is to find a creative way to require at least some concentration from the player and force them to be at the keyboard. Everquest 2's crafting system is a perfect example. Once you feel the problem is "significant", it will already be too late. Exploits and cheating can kill a game. And however you feel it's current impact on the game is right now, cheating is cheating and no one can deny that the way CCP is handling the problem right now is simply not effective.
